Miamisburg Ohio is located south of Dayton, west of Centerville and Bellbrook, southwest of Kettering and northwest of Springboro.  Miamisburg has a population of over 19,000.  It is noted to have the largest conical burial mound east of the Mississippi river.

The homes in Miamisburg are located in mainly well-established, older residential areas.  The homes range in price from $100,000 for an older ranch style starter home to as much as $600,000 for a luxury home.  New Homes are available from just over $130,000 to almost $400,000.

SCHOOLS

Miamisburg City schools were rated excellent once again for the 2005-2006 school year.  The district has over 5000 students served by 6 elementary schools, one school for 6^th graders, one middle school for 7-8^th graders and one high school.  The Miamisburg City schools rating by the Ohio Department of Education places it as similar to other nearby excellent rated districts such as Sugarcreek-Bellbrook, Beavercreek, Centerville, and Springboro.  Also, The Miami Valley Career Technology Center has courses in 50 different areas of vocational study.

RECREATION

Miamisburg is a great place for parks and recreational opportunities for residents.  There is the Sycamore Trails Aquatic Center with a heated pool, beach entry, lap pool, children's water playground, water slides, volleyball courts, and diving board.  There are two excellent golf courses in the area.  PipeStone and Mound Golf courses offer 18 and 9 challenging holes of golf respectively.  The Senior Adult Center in Miamisburg offers many educational, social, and travel opportunities.  There are other parks with trails, playgrounds, a soccer complex, and great open spaces for the residents to enjoy.
